Ontario Spring Special Olympic Games in Waterloo Region

The Region of Waterloo and Waterloo Region Police Services are hosting the 2020 Special Olympics – Ontario Spring Games!

This three-day event (May 21st to May 23rd, 2020) will be attended by more than 2500 athletes, spectators, coaches, parents/caregivers and hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers. The sports that will be highlighted include: Basketball, Bowling, Gymnastics, Swimming and Weightlifting.

The Opening Ceremonies will take place on May 21st at the Waterloo Recreation Centre and other venues hosting events include Wilfrid Laurier University, Kingpin Bowling and St. David’s Secondary School.

The Ontario Spring Special Olympic Games provide a wonderful opportunity for us to witness first-hand that being a champion is about spirit, belief, working hard and working with others to gain an invaluable experience that goes far beyond an individual sport!
