Purpose: The mandate of the Council is to provide parents/guardians with the means to advise the principal and the board on ideas, which lead to improving learning opportunities for students. It also may provide support for the school through fundraising activities.
Membership: Parents/guardians will form the majority of the Council. The Co-chairs of the Council shall be parents/guardians elected by the Council. The term of office for elected and appointed positions shall be as described in the Council by-laws.
Sub-Committees: Sub-committees provide for smaller groups to work on Council initiatives. (e.g. student learning, school plans, code of behaviour, fundraising, lunches, garden etc.)
