Generally, contacts of a COVID-19 case in a school setting are not considered “close contacts” due to the layering of health and safety measures in place, including daily self-screening, hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, and regular cleaning.

Your child does not need to self-isolate as a result of exposure to a COVID-19 case in their class. As long as your child completes and passes the Ontario School Screening Tool each day, they can continue to attend school.
